The 57th IT Technical Assembly
   - Adoption of 3 TTA standards(TTAS)

Electronic ballot meeting for the 57th IT Technical Assembly was held from 20 August to 28 August 2008.

The meeting adopted 3 new TTA standards such as "AD(Automatic Identification and Data Capture) 2D BarCode for the People with Visual Disabilities". With the revision of the "Standard of Audio Guiding Device for Visually Handicapped", the meeting abolished 3 previous related standards that were established back in 2003 and 2004 to avoid any confusion.

In addition, the meeting agreed to propose 5 TTA standards such as "Standard for DTV Closed Caption System" as Korean Information and Communication Standard (KICS).
