| The 66th Technical Assembly (Electronic Ballot) Held | |

September with TTA standards(TTASs) adoption as the key agenda. In the Assembly, 28 TTASs were adopted. Among the adopted standards, 6 TTASs including ‘‘Overview of IPTV Terminal Devices’ are expected to contribute to providing diverse IPTV services together with contents compatibility and terminal portability. In addition, the 2 TTASs including ‘Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) Automatic Emergency Alert Service’ revised in the Assembly proposed requirements for automatic emergency alert service execution to protect the lives and properties of the nation using terrestrial DMB and digital CATV media. Furthermore, in accordance with the adoption of alternative and revised TTASs, the 3 legacy standards were abolished in order to prevent users’ confusion. At the same time, The Assembly decided to recommend ’Korean Web Contents Accessibility Guideline 2.0’ as a Korean Information and Communication Standard(KICS) in order to bridge the digital divide for the information vulnerable. |
