| Interchangeable CAS Testbed for IPTV Becomes Available | |

TTA's Broadcasting Testing and Certification Department has set up a testbed intended for testing of the Interchangeable Conditional Access System (iCAS) for IPTV, and launched testing services for iCAS standard technologies and type approval on 7 September, 2010. This enables conformance test and compatibility verification of the iCAS serve Starting in November of 2010, IPTV service providers will be required to provide IPTV services using iCAS-implemented terminal devices (set-top box, etc.) that comply with technical regulations on a conditional access. To facilitate this requirement, the Broadcasting Testing and Certification Department has made iCAS testing available in public and has completed preparation of interoperability testing and development support testing services, consequently contributing to industry's technology development for implementation of iCAS. * IPTV Testbed Website: www.tta.or.kr/iptv, Contact: iptv@tta.or.kr, 82-31-724-0243 |
