TTA provided Wi-Fi VHT5G (IEEE 802.11ac) international certification test on wireless LAN products from June 19. VHT (very high throughput) 5G is a key wireless technology to replace the existing IEEE 802.11n. This is a latest technology that supports theoretical transmission rate up to 6.77Gbps. Equipments mounted with 802.11n technology, which has been dominating wireless LAN market so far, will soon be replaced with those applied with 802.11ac technology. Therefore, introduction of VHT5G technology is forecast to provide domestic companies with a new window of opportunity for entry into Wi-Fi products market. Anticipating further advancement of wireless user environment through the IEEE 802.11ac technology, TTA will provide high-quality testing and certification services and active support so that companies can introduce IEEE 802.11ac technology into a greater number of products. |
