On March 21 TTA (President Kim Won-Sik) announced that Mr. Lee Kang-Hae, a researcher of the Testing & Certification Laboratory, had received the Bluetooth ‘Top Listing BQE APAC Award 2006’ from Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) APAC (Asia Pacific). This award is given to BQE's (Bluetooth Qualification Expert) from around the world for their outstanding performance in Bluetooth qualification in 2006. Mr. Lee Kang-Hae, who acquired the BQE license in April 2006, has since qualified a total of 65 products, the 4th best performance in the world.

This award means that TTA's Bluetooth certification & testing service is making great contributions to re-invigorating Bluetooth both at home and abroad, and that the local Bluetooth market and technology have already reached a considerably high level.

Mr. Lee Kang-Hae said, “We expect that a greater variety of products, including mobile phones, TV, and navigation, will be launched in the local Bluetooth market in 2007, and the Bluetooth technology will evolve into a technology with reinforced convenience and security.”
