| MOU Renewal between TTA and ETSI | |

At the 17th Global Standards Collaboration (GSC) meeting held in Jeju from May 13 to May 16, TTA renewed its MOU with ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). By renewing this MOU, the two organizations agreed to cooperate with each other not only on existing core technologies like M2M, cloud computing and Beyond IMT-Advanced, but also in new areas like ORI (Open Radio equipment Interface). In particular, as ISG (Industry Specifications Group), an ETSI group organized for expedited industry-oriented standardization, was specifically included in the scope of cooperation, cooperation with Korean industries is expected to be strengthened in the future. Meanwhile, the renewed MOU included joint hosting of interoperability testing events between the two organizations as well as cooperation in standardization. The scope of the cooperation between the two organization is expected to be further enlarged. |
