Broadcasting Testing & Certification Department of TTA participated in KOBA 2013 held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul from May 13 to May 16. KOBA is the largest broadcast equipment exhibition held annually in Korea where outstanding domestic and overseas broadcasting, video, audio and lighting products are showcased.
The Broadcasting Equipment Testing & Certification Center of TTA has developed a total of 22 certification specifications for broadcasting equipment: nine in 2010, six in 2011, and seven in 2012. This year, it plans to develop six additional certification specifications for broadcasting equipment including HEVC encoder.
At KOBA 2013, TTA showcased ten broadcasting products for which it has issued certificates this year. They are for a video server, a graphics, character generator, amplifiers for public address systems, an MPEG-2 encoder, an H.264 encoder, an 8VSB modulator, a DTV modulator and a DTV transmitter. More than 800 people from the broadcasting industry, including broadcasters and manufacturers, visited TTA booth showing keen interest, including distinguished guests, such as Yoo Seung-hee, a national assembly member, Yoon Jong-rok, vice-minister of Science, ICT & Future Planning, and presidents of terrestrial broadcasters.
