MoU between TTA and IEEE-SA On 19 July 2010, TTA and IEEE Standard Association (IEEE-SA) signed an MoU for mutual cooperation on standardization. Keun-hyeob Lee, TTA President, Tae-gun Hyung, Korea Communications Commission Standing Commissioner, and 4 delegates from IEEE-SA, including Chuck Adams, President, and Judy Gorman, Managing Director participated in this signing ceremony. To enhance the cooperation between two organizations for development and provision of international standards, TTA and IEEE-SA began initial discussions on establishing MoU in late 2009, and co-proposed IEEE 802.16m standard with Korean WiBro technology to ITU-R as an IMT-Advanced candidate technology, the 4th-generation mobile communication technology. It is expected that the signing of this MoU will contribute greatly toward Korean technologies being adopted as ITU-R recommendations.
