The 59th Technical Assembly was held at TTA on June 18, 2009 with the main agenda being the adoption of TTA standards (TTAS).
This Technical Assembly established and revised a total of 21 TTA standards, including the ‘Specification of the Advanced Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (AT-DMB) to mobile, portable, and fixed receivers’ standard that will help improve the frequency efficiency of terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), and abolished 7 TTA standards including the 'Feature Cataloguing Standard' to prevent the adoption of alternative (revised) standards from causing confusion with legacy standards as they are used at the same time. In addition, the Technical Assembly decided to recommend 25 TTA standards including the ‘Transmission and Reception for Digital Satellite Broadcasting’ standard as korean information and communication standards (KICS), the national standards. |
