Renewal of TTA-ITU Cooperation Agreement for Bridging the Standardization Gap (July 29)

ITU is conducting a variety of initiatives to bridge the standardization gap between developed nations and developing nations, for which efforts have been continuously made across the world. Together with ITU, TTA, as a global standardization leader, has also been promoting a project since 2008 to strengthen the standardization capabilities of developing nations. Each year, TTA, based on its cooperation agreement with ITU, has been organizing various programs including standardization consultancy for developing nations as well as workshops on bridging the standardization gap jointly with ITU. This year, as part of the cooperation project, the agreement was renewed on July 29 with a key joint consultancy project to establish a national standardization secretariat in each of developing nations in addition to progressing the existing cooperation programs. TTA anticipates that this project will strengthen developing nations' IT development and standardization capabilities and, moreover, contribute to solving the issue of the global standardization gap.
