Training Program for ICT Cooperation Project with AfDB

TTA organized a training program targeting government officials and related experts from AfDB member states in 2014 in order to support technology and service growth in developing countries in Africa as part of its ICT cooperation project with the African Development Bank (AfDB). The training program was divided into short-term training and on-the-job training.
The short-term training was jointly organized by TTA and the U.N. APCICT (Asia and Pacific Training Center for Information and Communication Technology for Development) and was conducted at the U.N. APCICT Conference Room in Songdo for four days from April 15 to 18 with a total of 26 attendants including six AfDB trainees and government officials from developing nations in the Asia-Pacific region. Subjects taught included 'e-Government' and 'information security.'
The on-the-job training consisted of technical and practical training for digital broadcasting switchover, and was carried out for two weeks from April 21 to May 2 at the KBS offices in Seoul, Jeju and Busan with four trainees from AfDB member states attending. The participants said that this training program provided them with practical help in building up the related services in their nations. TTA will continue to contribute to ICT and service development in African developing nations through this project.
