The 61st Technical Assembly (Electronic Ballot)- 98 TTA Standards Adopted

The 61st Technical Assembly (Electronic Ballot) was held from 9 Nov. to 20 Nov. 2009 to deal with agenda items such as the adoption of TTA standards. At this meeting, 104 draft TTA standards were submitted and 98 of them were adopted. Among the adopted standards, ‘Internet International Domain Names of .KR’ allows the integration of English and Korean system on the second level domain name that is interoperable with the third level domain name to provide more efficiency and convenience. Remaining 6 draft standards related to number portability, which include patented standards, were rejected with the opinion that additional review would be required by related common carriers on the contents of the draft standards and the scope of the patent. These draft standards will be discussed later by related project groups and technical committee.
