TTA standard on an integrated I/O connection interface for 20-pin mobile phone
adopted as an ITU-T draft recommendation With regard to international standardization on universal charging for mobile phone, which ITU-T SG5 (environment and climate change) is in charge of, TTA standard on an integrated I/O connection interface for 20-pin mobile phone was adopted as an ITU-T draft recommendation. International standardization for universal charging for mobile phone was initiated in May 2009 when GSMA proposed Micro-USB type to ITU-T. Korea presented the result of standardization for domestic charging for mobile phone and gave full explanation for TTA standard on integrated I/O connection interface for 20-pin mobile phone at the meeting of ITU-T SG5, Geneva, 12-16 October 2009. Along with GSMA standard, TTA standard on an integrated I/O connection interface for 20-pin mobile phone was adopted as an ITU-T draft recommendation, thereby proving the excellence of Korean technology. This draft recommendation is expected to become a recommendation by 2010 after review by member countries. 17 mobile communication standardization experts from Korea (RRA, TTA, and ETRI) participated in this meeting. |
