On June 2, 2012, the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) officially announced that TTA Sr. Researcher Jang, Kwang-ick was designated as a Bluetooth Qualification Expert (BQE). A certified BQE is qualified to determine whether a Bluetooth™ product complies with Bluetooth standards. The role of a BQE is very important for ensuring conformance and interoperability of Bluetooth products. Sr. Researcher Jang, Kwang-ick successfully completed a range of domestic and international Bluetooth certification projects as a representative of the TTA Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) and is now actively helping to promote Bluetooth standardization as well as testing and certification programs by attending various Bluetooth working groups and experts meeting. TTA operates the only test lab in Korea capable of administering tests and certifications not only for Bluetooth, but also low energy RF, protocols and profiles. Now with three BQEs on its staff, TTA anticipates making a significant contribution to Bluetooth proliferation. |
