Regional Wi-Fi Symposium

On April 12, the Wi-Fi Alliance Seoul Symposium was held at TTA. With attendance by approx. 100 experts from companies dealing with Wi-Fi devices, such as smartphones, set top boxes and mobile devices, the symposium introduced the latest technology trends and market status under the subject of PasspointTM, the Hot Spot 2.0 certification program to be launched in June this year. At the welcoming speech, Director Joo Jong-ok of TTA IT Testing & Certification Laboratory stated that TTA, Korea’s leading Wi-Fi authorized test laboratory, would do its utmost to contribute to promoting domestic Wi-Fi related industries. As regional symposiums held annually by Wi-Fi Alliance in Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea on a rotating basis, Wi-Fi Alliance Seoul Symposium is emerging as an important networking event for Wi-Fi related information sharing.
