USB-IF SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) certification service now open

TTA is now providing the USB 3.0 certification testing service with authorization as an independent test lab for the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed USB from USB-IF (USB-Implementers Forum). USB-IF, the world’s first independent test lab for USB 3.0, has finally selected five test labs, TTA (Korea), NTS(the US), XXCAL Japan (Japan), Allion Taiwan (Taiwan) and Allion Shanghai (China). Accordingly, all the companies in Korea will be able to obtain the SuperSpeed USB logo for their products just by passing TTA certification test. USB 3.0 provides transmission speed of 5Gbps, which is ten times faster than USB 2.0 Hi-Speed USB (480Mbps). In addition, the applied power has increased to 900mA. Moreover, it ensures complete backward compatibility with USB 2.0 products.
