The 10th anniversary of 3GPP, where TTA is one of the founding Organizational Partners, was held on 2008 December 9 at Athens, Greece. 3GPP is a joint mobile communication partnership project among ARIB and TTC from Japan, CCSA from China, ATIS from U.S.A., and ETSI from Europe participate to develop IMT-2000 standard and LTE (Long Term Evolution) specification, as well as LTE-Advanced specification, a candidate for 4th generation mobile telecommunication technology (IMT-Advanced).
