Establishment of Standardization Roadmap (Ver.2009) for Information and Communications Technology TTA selects technologies, through selection and concentration process based on standardization environmental analysis (Top-down approach) and standardization demand research (Bottom-up approach), and establishes Standardization Roadmap for domestic and international standardization strategy and direction every year. In 2008, Standardization Roadmap Ver.2009, for 36 core technologies including converging areas such as UHDTV, Future Internet, u-Environment, and e-Navigation, was established by technology standard planning task force consisting of over 350 industry, academia, R&D experts. The Standardization Roadmap elicits standardization items that are strategically important and potentially having high ripple effect, and suggests strategic purpose and detailed strategy derived from environmental analysis. The Standardization Roadmap will be distributed to related ministries, industries, and R&D institutions as well as post on TTA homepage to act as a national guideline for standardization activities.
