ICT Forum Korea 2010, a place where activity results of domestic voluntary standardization forum are presented, was successfully held at COEX Grand Conference Center with over 700 experts participation from 6 May to 7 May 2010. This event was co-hosted by the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE), and co-sponsored by TTA and OSIA. In order to actively cope with international fora and consortia in the rapidly changing ICT sector and to revitalize voluntary standardization activities in Korea, TTA selected 'IT standardization strategy fora' in 2000 and has since been systematically supporting their standardization activities. This year, TTA selected 41 IT standardization strategy fora and is planning to reinforce voluntary de-facto standardization activities in Korea. Under the theme of ‘Standardization for the Smart ICT’, the 10th ICT Forum Korea 2010 was subdivided into 6 tracks and 15 technical sessions, including mobile communication, RFID/USN, u-BcN, broadcasting & u-computing, IT convergence components, u-infrastructure SW, and top-notch domestic and foreign experts, such as CTOs, professors and researchers at national research institutes who participate in 41 IT standardization strategy fora, gave an in-depth presentation on 50 technical subjects. |
