| TTA and ATSC Signed an MOU for Cooperation in International 3DTV Standardization | |

At the 2010 NAB Show (the digital media industry event) held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 13, TTA and ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee: a North American terrestrial DTV standardization organization) signed an MOU for cooperation in 3DTV standardization. TTA is in the process of standardizing for 3DTV Transmitter/Receiver Interface and for compatibility between different media through the TTA 3DTV Project Group established in January 2010, whereas ATSC has selected 3DTV as its major focus for standardization, and hopes to soon initiate 3DTV standardization. This MOU is expected to go a long way toward publicizing the 3D broadcasting service and contents of Korea and reinforcing global cooperation. In addition, as joint PR activities that will introduce and diffuse 3DTV service will be planned for cooperation. it is expected that Korea companies related to 3DTV will take a great opportunity to strengthen their position in the North American market. |
