The 50th Technical Assembly - adopted 332 TTA standards

At the 50th Technical Assembly held at TTA on 27 December 2006, 332 TTA standards were adopted and 3 key resolutions were passed. At the same time, 18 old standards that are no longer in use or whose alternatives are established, were abolished.

Among the TTA standards adopted at this technical assembly, the ‘security technology framework for home networks’ standard, which was drafted in Korea, is waiting for ITU-T, the international standardization organization, to approve it as a recommendation, where as the ‘mobile standard platform specification’ standard, which is a revision of a previous version that had implementation problems, is expected to be fully utilized in related industries in the near future.

To ensure expansion of services related to telematics/ITS and interoperability among different industries, a TTA standard was chosen to be recommended as a national IT standard. Also, the groundwork for more systematic and efficient standardization was laid by approving the 3-year IT standardization plan and project plan for 2007.

In addition to the passing of the resolutions, awards were given to 8 outstanding IT standardization committee members for the year of 2006 and 10 winners from the 2nd IT standardization thesis competition.
