TTA was designated as a wireless USB ITL(Independent Test Laboratory) by the USB-IF(Universal Serial Bus-Implementers Forum) on 24 March 2009. Wireless USB technology is a grafting technology using 3.1GHz~10.6GHz UWB(Ultra Wide-Band) wireless communication technology and high-speed USB technology, and may support 480Mbps of data transfer speed within 3 meters radius. The application of wireless USB technology enables multimedia transmission, where digital home appliances will find it very useful. Designated as a USB2.0 ITL in October 2008 and acquiring wireless USB certification testing qualification in March 2009, TTA is expected to contribute greatly to USB and UWB product quality verification and certificate acquisition. TTA is the only certification body in Korea that can provide both USB and wireless USB certification testing service, and there are only 5 bodies in the world. |
