| The 2nd IPTV Interoperability Testing Event Hosted | |

From the 19th to the 28 th of October, TTA Broadcasting Testing & Certification Department hosted the 2nd IPTV Interoperability Testing Event. 19 representatives from 7 institutions, including IPTV receiver manufacturers and developers of middleware, application and CAS/DRM solutions, participated to verify compatibility between IPTV interactive application and middleware and between iCAS transmitter and receiver. In particular, verification of compatibility with iCAS technology during this event is significant in that it provided an opportunity for pre-testing of type approval testing for interchangeable Conditional Access System (iCAS) for IPTV subscriber terminal available from November and officially initial interoperability testing & standard verification for iCAS technology standards established last March. To continuously contribute to verification of IPTV technology compatibility and standard technology, the Broadcasting Testing & Certification Department will arrange a couple of subsequent events in consideration of the IPTV standards establishment and amendment schedule. |
