| Renewal of TTA-ITU Cooperation Agreement to Bridge the Standardization Gap | |

ITU is actively engaged in various initiatives to bridge the standardization gap between the advanced and developing nations. TTA, together with ITU, is also promoting projects to strengthen standardization capabilities of developing countries. Since 2008, TTA and ITU have been jointly promoting diverse programs based on a cooperation agreement, such as the development of methodologies to measure the standardization capability of individual nations and joint hosting of workshops. On August 4, ITU and TTA renewed their cooperation agreement for 2011, which include promotion of consultancy program to strengthen standardization capabilities of developing nations and measuring the standardization capability of individual nations and so on. |
