The 29th CJK IMT WG meeting held in Seoul, Korea
TTA held the 29th CJK IMT WG (China, Japan and Korea IMT Working Group) meeting in Seoul for 2 days from 7 September to 8 September 2011. At the CJK IMT WG meeting, Korea (TTA), Japan (ARIB) and China (CCSA) prepared cooperation plans for standardization in the mobile communications fields. At the meeting, the three countries completed and approved a CJK White Paper* containing forecasts of the mobile communications spectrum through mobile traffic analysis in the Asia Pacific region. Korea, China and Japan will submit a joint contribution to the ITU-R WP5D October meeting to be held in Goa, India in order to make the White Paper to be included in IMT.UPDATE which is a global mobile traffic prediction report. In addition, the White Paper will be jointly proposed by Korea, China and Japan to the AWG meeting to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in mid September aiming to take the leadership for mobile communications standardization in the Asia Pacific region. At the CJK IMT WG meeting, it was also agreed to review the joint hosting of MSM workshop before or after the next CJK Standard Cooperation Plenary meeting (scheduled to be held in Japan in Mar. 2012) for cooperation among asian countries in the M2M (machine to machine communication) fields. The next CJK IMT WG meeting is scheduled to be held from March 14 to 16 next year together with the CJK Standard Cooperation Plenary meeting.
