At the 48th Technical Assembly (Chairman: VP of KT Yoon Jong-Rok) held on June 29th (Thursday), TTA (Secretary General Kim Hong-Koo) announced the establishment of a new standard (TTAS.KO-06.0096/R1), a revision of the ‘2.3GHz Portable Internet (WiBro) testing standard’. TTA revised the ‘2.3GHz Portable Internet - Interoperability Testing Specifications(Testing Procedure),’ which was established back in December of 2005, for the harmonization with the WiMAX forum. This new testing standard is expected to greatly contribute to the success of the WiBro service. The TTA 2.3GHz Portable Internet project group (Chairman of PG302: Prof. Hong Dae-Hyoung, Sogang University) is planning to continuously harmonize this testing standard with the corresponding WiMAX forum standard to make it an international standard. |
