The World's First Completion of WiMAX Certification Testing
TTA completes the world's first international Mobile WiMAX certification testing!
Including TTA, there are currently 6 international WiMAX Forum certification testing laboratories in the world. This first-ever WiMAX certification testing was done in conjunction with Spain's AT4 Wireless, where it took over three months, starting in December 2008 and completing in March 2008.
This certification testing was done on 8 DUTs of 1A Profile products manufactured by 4 WiMAX manufacturers in the world, including Samsung Electronics and Postdata, to test RF Conformance, Protocol Conformance, and Interoperability using strict criteria set by WiMAX Forum. The result showed that all 8 products passed the testing criteria, and 4 out 8 were manufactured by none other than Korea's Samsung Electronics and Postdata, which proved Korea's advanced WiMAX technology. It is expected that Samsung and Postdata will play the leading roles in the world's WiMAX market.
Moreover, this event is significant in that it not only proved the superiority of domestic technology with their participation and approval of the very first WiMAX certification testing, but also the excellence of certification testing ability of TTA with its successful co-organization of the testing & certification.
Following the 1A Profile certification, TTA is already in preparation for the 3A Wave2 certification testing service, and by the first half of this year, TTA will be able to provide one-stop service for the international WiMAX certification testing service.
Through the successful testing of Mobile WiMAX, along with past experiences in CDMA, GSM, and WCDMA areas, TTA can now be considered as the world's best testing center for all mobile telecommunication technologies.
