On 20-21 December, 2010, the ‘2010 Korea ITU Committee Assembly’ was held at Oak Valley in Kangwon Province, South Korea in which members of Korea ITU Committee and 60 experts in broadcasting field participated. During the Assembly held on the first day, the committee’s activities for 2010 were reported and activity plans for 2011 were established.
Most importantly, the assembly reviewed the committee restructuring such as abolishing the Committee Assembly and restructuring of the Coordination Committee, as well as related revision of operational regulations, and authority for approval of the changes was delegated to the 2011 Coordination Committee. So a newly organized committee is expected to be formed reasonably soon.
At the presentation held on the second day, participants made presentation on the outcomes of standardization activities performed in each area of ITU-R/T/D with a focus on results of major international conferences held in 2010 such as PP and WTDC, sharing information on trends of international standardization of IMT-Advanced, Smart Grid and Green ICT.
