| Bluetooth Technology Seminar, Bluetooth SIG | |

With Korean Bluetooth SIG members and Bluetooth developers attending, Bluetooth SIG 2013, a Bluetooth technology seminar, was held at TTA on November 26, 2013. With approximately 140 attendants from large enterprises, such as Samsung and LG, and small-scale manufacturing companies developing Bluetooth, the seminar was held under the subject of Bluetooth Technology Overview I and II in the morning. In Technology Overview I session, basic specifications and profiles of Bluetooth (classic, high-speed and low energy consuming) were described. In Technology Overview II session, new profiles to be released and a developer program were introduced. In the afternoon, interoperability test and the necessary testing tools were introduced. Then, TTA’s Principal Researcher Gwang-ik, Jang who is serving as a BQE in Korea, gave a presentation on Bluetooth certification and registration. TTA has been continuously discussing with Bluetooth SIG for cooperation and directions for certification service improvement and will support technological seminars and developers’ workshops in the future. In addition, through ‘Next-generation Broadcasting Technology Support Center,’ TTA will provide test bed and test services for free to Korea’s small and medium-scale companies developing products using Bluetooth technology. |
