Authorized Testing Service with VESA DisplayPort Source Test Lab Qualification
On November 30, 2012, TTA was authorized by VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) to extend the scope of its international testing and certification services to include the source field of DisplayPortTM, a next-generation video graphics interface standard, and is now providing this testing and certification service. TTA was designated as an authorized DisplayPortTM test center (ATC) on September 21, 2011, and is providing internationally certified testing and certification services according to DisplayPort testing standards. LG Electronics and LG Display's Sync (monitor) obtained certification using this service. DisplayPortTM is a next-generation open display interface standard adopted by VESA. Providing a maximum speed of 21.6Gbps, this technology enables 3D and UHD video transmission. Continuously developing standards for MyDP (Mobility DisplayPort) applied to mobile devices and standards for wireless transmission, VESA is forecast to take the lead on graphics interfaces in the future. With the testing field extension, most DisplayPort products manufactured in Korea can now be tested domestically. This will lower the inconvenience as well as time and logistics costs required for overseas certification, and thus contribute to PC industry development in Korea.
