The 78th Coordination Committee Held On June 9, 2011, in conjunction with the 8th TTA ICT Standardization Committee/Strategy Forum/International ICT Standardization Experts Joint Workshop, the 78th Coordination Committee of TTA ICT Standardization Committee was held at High1 Resort in Gangwon-do with agendas including project group naming and changing of the scope of activities. In this meeting, as follow-up for the 77th Coordination Committee, the ‘Magnetic Field Area Network’ and ‘Mobile Charging and Application’ PGs were officially renamed and terms of reference (ToR) changed. ToR of 2 other PG’s were also changed reflecting current technology trends. In addition, the committee reviewed 135 proposals for establishment, revision & abolition of standards submitted by stakeholders, and adopted 134 of them as SWIs. One was excluded as it was deemed to duplicate an existing SWI. A total of 14 SWIs that are no longer valid were also abolished. The committee also amended ‘TTA Standard Preparation Guidelines’ by improving standard preparation forms and adding cautions on the use of trademarks, and clarified some ambiguous expressions found in ‘ICT Standardization Operational Guidelines’ and reflected revisions in ‘ICT Standardization Regulations ’ approved by the 68th Technical Assembly this March. |
