Pursuing ICT Cooperation with ADB(African Development Bank)

At the Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation Conference (KOAFEC) 2010 held at Hotel Shilla, Seoul, last September, ICT Cooperation Project, proposed by TTA to support the growth of ICT technology and service of African developing countries, was approved. Accordingly, from 2011 to 2012, TTA will, in collaboration with ADB, provide consulting and training service for ICT policy, technology, and service to African countries. This project will consist of ICT policy/technology consulting and ICT training programs, through which Korean ICT policy and technology experts will provide consulting service for broadcasting & communication policy/technology/service and training programs to African government officials, researchers, and industry experts. TTA expects that this project will enhance ICT technology development competence of African developing countries, and thus leading to elimination of global digital devide, as well as help Korean companies to penetrate into local market in Africa by promoting Korea's national brand image as the global leader in ICT technology.
