Acquisition of KOLAS accreditation for VT and USAT

On 20 April 2010, TTA mobile communication testing team acquired ISO 17025 international testing laboratory qualification for VT and USAT. The assessors consisting of KOLAS senior assessor and related technical assessors made an on-site assessment of the quality system and testing equipment management ability of TTA mobile communication testing team for two days, 4 March and 5 March 2010. As technology based on the IMTC technical standard, VT is used for video telephony on cell phones as well as for application programs, while USAT, as a technology based on 3GPP technical standard, is used for USIM application programs, such as financial transactions and smart cards. As TTA acquired international certified testing facility on MMS, A-GPS and SUPL and is expected to be accredited in June 2010 as GCF/PTCRB international certified testing facility for VT and USAT, it will be able to conduct internationally accredited tests for various applications used in next-generation convergence terminals to be developed in the future.
