| The first Consultancy Program for Developing Country in 2009 | |

Since 2008, TTA started consultancy program for developing countries with its 20 years of cumulated standardization know-hows to assist them in improving their standardization capabilities. TTA once again selected a country this year among many developing countries and had a kick-off meeting on-site for consultancy program. This meeting focused on analyzing standardization status of the country and its consultancy requirements. The meeting agreed that areas of consultancy program will cover standardization guideline & regulations, procedures, R&D, human resource development, ITU response system as well as adoption of international standards as domestic standards. In addition, experts from developing country will be invited to Korea to provide them with actual standardization consulting in September. TTA expects this program to contribute greatly to ITU's effort in bridging the standardization gap. |
