Korea ITU Committee General Assembly was held on 2008 December 24 at Radio Research Agency.

More than 80 participated, including the Chairman of Korea ITU Committee, Choon-hee Kim, and the meeting reported the results of 2008 activities as well as established the 2009 activity plan and revised its operating procedures.

The 2008 activities included the appointment of 2 chairman and 7 vice-chairman at ITU-T WTSA-08, and successful hosting of international meetings such as ITU-T SG11, SG13, SG19, NGN-GSI, and IPTV-GSI meetings.

In addition, 30 international standards, in NGN and Information security areas, were established at these meetings with Korea being the major contributor of the standards.

2009 activity plan included publishing 10 year chronical for the ITU Research Committee, operating a special group on climate change, providing training program for international standard experts, and strengthening of publicity activity for the ITU international standardization activities.
